EMERGENCE
Emergence was an educational metagame to teach high school students about game design, and more specifically about the importance of goals & rules, flow & balancing, narratives and obviously the concept of "emergence". The game was a pacman-like game, in which players could adjust parameters to see the consequences of their own design decisions. The game was tested in a classroom setting and it worked well. Considering this was a game on a very small budget, I was quite content with the result. Furthermore, it was the first game that I was paid to design.
